Travel back in time by holding an old book in your hands - imagine whom may have held in in their hands in the past, imagine all the events it may have witnessed, all the conversations it may have been part of, all the secret letters that may have been hidden within its pages at some point!

And then you open it up and a whole new world opens up!

Who can resist the magic?

**** End of Title Page ****

Printed by Nuttall, Fisher, Dixon, and Gibson, Liverpool

A most interesting Bible with very captivating engravings throughout. I have not counted each engraving but there are at least 30 if not more. Each engraving is full page size and beautifully detailed.

It appears that the Bible has been carefully rebound at some point. The binding is very tight, there is not a single loose page. The pages are in very good condition. some have frayed edges and there are a few that have small dears along the edges. There is foxing throughout, although generally the pages are clean and the print is crisp.

The New Testament, published in 1811

The engraving are simply magnificent!  None of the engravings has a date but all have been published by Nuttall, Fisher & Dixon, Liverpool.
Each engraving is full size,  i.e. has its own page. There is a total of at least 40 engravings. As I did not want to disturb the pages and the still very tight binding too much I have not counted each engraving.
